Responsibilities and Duties
? Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
? Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
? Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g. Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, forecasting, budgeting etc.
? Coordinate with finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
? Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
? Generate financial reports and statements to Management for review.
? Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
? Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
? Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
? Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting.
? Provide guidance to other Accountants when needed.
? Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
? Able to prepare and submit monthly/yearly VAT and withholding tax return, and yearly Zakat return.
? Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
? Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
? Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
? Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
? Hotel accountants communicate with a variety of people, including hotel staff, other accountants and managers.
Requirements & Skills
Preference will be given to those candidates having past working experience in HOTEL Accounting and Audit firm.
Education : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, any additions qualification will be considered.
Experience : Min 5-10 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting
? Proven accounting and hospitality experience.
? Working knowledge of PMS (Opera, Micros and Sun system)
? Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact with all levels.
Good MS Office skills particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.
Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
Preferably Arabic speaker
Based in Saudi Arabia
Ability to communicate fluently in Arabic/English language, both verbally and in writing.
