The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols. They lead a team of warehouse staff, coordinate with other departments, and implement strategies to optimize warehouse productivity.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supervise Warehouse Operations:
- Coordinate daily activities, prioritize tasks, and delegate responsibilities to warehouse staff.
- Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflow systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, complying with health and safety standards.
2. Inventory Management:
- Oversee accurate stock monitoring, conduct regular physical inventory counts, and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to prevent losses, damages, or expired products.
- Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and proper storage of incoming shipments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, transactions, and stock movement.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing goods, including packing lists, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Prepare regular reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, stock movements, and operational metrics.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide necessary reports and support for sales, finance, and procurement functions.
5. Process Improvement:
- Continuously review and analyze warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices within warehouse management.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management software and inventory control systems.
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Speaks English well and can communicate/converse in Arabic.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and reporting.
