Job Description:

Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of work sites, equipment, and processes to identify hazards and potential risks.

Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors, covering topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and PPE usage.

Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and workers to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and other safety-related activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.

5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulations.

Professional certification such as OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.

Excellent knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety management systems.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with safety management software is a plus.
