We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team in the Purchasing Department of a company specialized in the manufacturing of plastic or chemical products in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing procurement operations and negotiating with suppliers, along with a deep understanding of the plastic or chemical manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
Implement purchasing strategies and develop policies and procedures to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement operations.
Provide regular reports to the purchasing management regarding performance, analysis, and recommendations.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and conduct assessment processes to determine their suitability and credibility.
Negotiate contract terms and prices with suppliers and ensure the acquisition of profitable deals.
Monitor the quality of purchased materials and ensure supplier compliance with required specifications and standards.
Manage shipping and delivery operations to ensure the timely arrival of materials to the factory.
Handle problems and disputes with suppliers and seek effective solutions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing procurement operations, preferably in the plastic or chemical manufacturing industry.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with suppliers.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to make tough decisions under changing circumstances.
Good knowledge of inventory management systems and specialized procurement technology applications.
Good communication skills in both English and Arabic, both written and spoken
