Quantity Surveyor Required (NO IQAMA TRANSFER)

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a reliable quantity surveyor to join our capable team of professionals. The quantity surveyor will be tasked with preparing BOQs, analyzing budgets and making improvements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and manage detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs using standard software, ensuring precision and reliability in measurements.

• Extract accurate quantities of materials and components for construction projects using and not limited to BIM and AutoCAD software.

• Conduct accurate cost estimates (related to materials), budgeting, and ensure alignment with project objectives and financial feasibility.

• Study and review contract documents, specs, drawings, BOQs, cost estimates, and approved measurement styles to ensure precise cost planning and adherence to budgetary guidelines.

• Develop comprehensive reports and documentation detailing material quantities, cost estimates, and BOQs.

• Provide support during procurement processes, including tender evaluation and contract administration.

• Verifying the BOQs provided by suppliers/vendors along with their commercial technical proposal.

• Collaborate effectively with project team to analyze project requirements, optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Monitor project expenditures and variations, generating accurate and timely cost reports and forecasts for stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Diploma of Associate Engineer - Civil.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Middle East, is essential, with a preference for experience within the Construction Industry.

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques and principles.

• Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, MS Office, Cubit Estimating, CostX, Plan Swift.

• Knowledge of BIM is preferable.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

• Proficiency in English communication (verbal/written) is a must.
