MEP Contracting Company is currently seeking an experienced electrical and mechanical drafter/designer to join their team.
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of electromechanical drafting and design experience, preferably in building design and systems. Experience with low and medium-voltage networks, equipment, and distribution is required. Additional experience with mechanical works systems, including their selection, specification, and ratings, would be a plus. The candidate should be local or within a commutable distance to the Red Sea Region.
Responsibilities:
- Revise existing mechanical and electrical drawings from explicit verbal or written instructions.
- Create electrical and mechanical plans, schematics, and wiring diagrams for existing and new projects based on customer specifications.
- Assist in developing mechanical-electrical drawing packages for proposals and construction contracts, as well as bill of materials for procurement.
Requirements for the Drafter:
- 5-10 years of experience as a Mechanical/Electrical Designer/Drafter.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and related programs, as well as Microsoft Office software.
- Experience in drafting Mechanical/Electrical layouts for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, and involvement with required equipment and infrastructure networks.
- Preference will be given to candidates with an engineering degree or diploma in drafting technology or CAD certification.
