Duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPS), and policies to mitigate and manage environmental risks associated with construction and fit-out operations.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAS) for construction and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with environmental permitting activities, including permit applications, compliance reporting, and regulatory agency interactions.
• Monitor environmental performance indicators and conduct audits to ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and company policies
• Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams on environmental compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging environmental issue
• Participate in stakeholder engagement activities and interface with clients, and consultants, on environmental matters
• Identify and implement opportunities for environmental improvement and sustainability initiatives within the organization/ project
• Conduct all activities safely, in accordance with safety rules and policies, to prevent harm to self and others.
• Ensure organizational compliance with the requirements of environmental regulations, focusing on monitoring, record-keeping, and reporting requirements.
• Effectively communicate with site personnel regarding regulatory obligations, client requirements standard best practices etc.
• Develop and maintain rapport with clients, consultants, and other agencies to foster a working relationship that minimizes adversarial actions, enforcement actions, and penalties.
