Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations, developing measures to assure personnel safety, and overseeing the implementation of safety protocols. The successful candidate will possess a thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and be able to develop, implement, and enforce safety policies that reduce the risk of accidents and injuries in the workplace.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage safety programs and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Investigate accidents and incidents to identify their causes and recommend corrective actions.
Provide safety training to employees and educate them on safe work practices.
Maintain records of safety-related incidents and propose measures to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with management to develop and revise safety procedures and guidelines.
Keep abreast of new developments in safety regulations and technologies.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a Safety Officer or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and practices.
Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA, NEBOSH, etc.) is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
