Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Assist the Operations Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating civil engineering projects.
Prepare project timelines, work schedules, and ensure that all milestones are met.
Collaborate with project teams to align project goals, deadlines, and resource allocation.
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, schedules, and updates.
Compile and submit progress reports to stakeholders, management, and clients as required.
Ensure that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company standards.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to project teams in the head office and on-site, ensuring project specifications and designs are properly executed.
Review technical drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure alignment with project goals.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any engineering or construction issues that arise.
Monitoring and Quality Control:
Monitor the progress of ongoing projects to ensure that they meet company quality standards and project timelines.
Liaise with site engineers and supervisors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and construction codes.
Participate in site visits when necessary to assess project status and provide feedback to the Operations Manager.
Cost and Resource Management:
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and effective use of resources.
Track material and resource usage to avoid project delays or budget overruns.
Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and identify areas for process improvement.
Coordination with Contractors and Suppliers:
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Assist in reviewing and evaluating contractor bids and proposals.
Ensure that materials and supplies are delivered on time and in compliance with project requirements.
Regulatory Compliance and Permits:
Ensure all projects adhere to local and national regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Assist in acquiring the necessary permits and approvals for ongoing projects.
Keep track of any changes in regulations that could impact project timelines or procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a preference for project planning and management experience.
