Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Engineer to join our team for a key project in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working on MEP systems within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for overseeing, designing, and managing the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of the project to ensure they meet quality standards, safety regulations, and are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development: Plan, design, and develop MEP systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and electrical systems, in compliance with Saudi building codes, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Project Management: Oversee the installation and execution of all MEP systems, coordinating with architects, construction teams, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Compliance & Standards: Ensure all MEP designs and installations are compliant with local regulations, industry standards, and the specific requirements of Saudi authorities, such as the Saudi Building Code and other municipal standards.

Quality Assurance: Perform regular inspections and audits on MEP systems to ensure they are being installed correctly and to the highest standards.

Cost Control: Work closely with the project management and procurement teams to develop budgets for MEP installations and monitor costs to avoid overruns.

Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and submit progress reports, technical submittals, method statements, and any other required documentation to project stakeholders.

Coordination: Collaborate with the civil, architectural, and structural teams to integrate MEP systems seamlessly into the overall project design.

Problem-Solving: Provide technical solutions to on-site challenges and troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation.

Team Supervision: Lead and supervise on-site teams and subcontractors involved in MEP works.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working in MEP engineering within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Saudi building codes, standards, and regulations, especially within Khobar or Eastern Province projects.

Technical Proficiency: Expertise in design software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and project management software (Primavera, MS Project).

Language Skills: Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is highly desirable.

Certifications: Professional Engineering certification (preferred); familiarity with LEED, PMP, or other relevant certifications is a plus.

Communication & Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team and liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve engineering problems swiftly.

Work Authorization: Must have valid work authorization to operate in Saudi Arabia.

Preferred:

Previous experience in large-scale commercial or industrial projects.

Hands-on experience working in the Khobar or Eastern Province regions.

Familiarity with sustainable design and green building practices.
