Job Summary:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating revenue by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities in technical and engineering products or services. This role combines technical expertise with strong sales skills to offer clients the best possible solutions that meet their requirements, with a focus on growing market share and building long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and target potential clients within the relevant industries.
- Generate leads and develop long-term business relationships with key customers.
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Prepare and present detailed technical proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate terms and close sales to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
2. Customer Support & Consultation:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical requirements and challenges.
- Provide technical support and guidance on product selection, installation, and usage.
- Work with engineering and product development teams to customize solutions as needed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through post-sales support and troubleshooting.
3. Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement or new solutions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the company’s products, services, and their technical specifications.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Coordinate with the production, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
- Work closely with marketing teams on promotional strategies and events.
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer needs and market demand.
5. Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline updates.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasting, and potential opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical background.
- Experience:2-5 years of sales experience in a technical or engineering-related field.

- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simplified manner.

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
