Job Description:
The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on construction sites. This role involves conducting inspections, developing safety policies, and promoting a culture of safety among all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections at construction sites, including periodic and emergency inspections, documenting results, and comparing them with approved standards.
2. Develop and implement general policies to ensure the safety and security of the company’s property and employees.
3. Supervise the implementation of safety rules and procedures across all sites.
4. Address any deficiencies or defects in safety systems, ensuring they operate effectively.
5. Organize training courses and prepare materials to raise awareness about safety and accident prevention.
6. Report on safety incidents and workflow to the direct supervisor, maintaining accurate documentation.
7. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor related to the role.
8. Monitor all site employees to ensure compliance with safety procedures, including the use of PPE and adherence to safety plans.
Qualifications:
• Certifications (Preferred):
• OSHA
• IOSH
• NEBOSH
• IGC
• CSP
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and safety within the construction industry, preferably with reputable contracting companies.
• Experience in organizing training courses and preparing instructional materials.
• Proficient in drafting reports related to safety and compliance.
Skills:
• Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Excellent analytical skills for efficient problem-solving.
• Flexibility and adaptability to various working conditions.
