Safety Engineer & Safety Officer – Pipeline Projects

Location: Neom, Saudi Arabia

*Job Description:

As a Safety Engineer & Safety Officer, you will play a dual role in ensuring the safety of all personnel and operations on-site, from the planning phase through to execution. Your responsibilities will include developing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and performing safety inspections. You will also oversee day-to-day safety operations and provide guidance and training to ensure the project meets all safety standards.

*Key Responsibilities:

Safety Engineering:

-Develop, implement, and enforce safety management systems and safety procedures for pipeline construction activities.

-Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety issues and mitigate risks.

-Design safety protocols and emergency response plans for pipeline-related operations.

-Ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

-Collaborate with project managers to integrate safety into project planning and execution.

*Safety Officer Duties:

-Conduct daily safety inspections and audits across the pipeline project site to ensure compliance with safety protocols.

-Oversee the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety tools, ensuring adherence to safety standards.

-Monitor and enforce safety procedures during construction, installation, and operational phases.

-Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.

-Provide safety training and awareness programs for workers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

-Maintain safety records and report safety performance metrics to project management.

*Required Qualifications:

-Immediate availability to join the project.

-Valid iqama is a mandatory requirement. Applicants without a valid iqama will not be considered.

-Valid Saudi driving license is required.

-Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

-Minimum of [5] years of experience in safety management, specifically in pipeline projects.

-Proven experience working as both a Safety Engineer and Safety Officer on construction or pipeline projects.

-In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices in pipeline safety management.

-Certification in Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) is mandatory.

-Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections on large-scale projects.

-Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage safety on-site and report to senior management.

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.

-Fluency in English (both written and spoken).

-Ability to work in a challenging and remote project environment.

*Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience working on projects in Neom or other high-profile international projects.

-Familiarity with SWCC or similar client safety standards.

-Previous leadership experience in safety roles on major pipeline or oil & gas projects.

*Benefits:

-Salary: 5,000 to 7,000 SAR per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
