• Analyze client-issued tender documents, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities to understand project requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive tender submissions, ensuring compliance with the client’s requirements and deadlines.
• Evaluate costs for labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor services to determine project budget.
• Provide detailed rate breakdowns for various construction activities, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
• Conduct market research to understand current material and labor costs, supplier pricing trends, and competitors’ strategies.
• Identify and analyze potential project risks (e.g., material price fluctuations, labor availability) and incorporate contingencies into estimates.
• Collaboration with project management teams to gather required inputs for cost estimations.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and quality standards.
• Ensure all tender documents comply with industry standards, local regulations and company policies.
• Maintain detailed records of all tender submissions, rate analyses and estimation methodologies for reference.
• Engage with clients during pre-qualification and bidding stages to clarify requirements and address concerns.
• Participate in post-tender discussions to address clarifications and secure contracts.
• Evaluate and improve costing and tendering processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead negotiations with subcontractors, suppliers and clients during tender and post-tender phases.
