A Leading Electro Mechanical Company ugently seeking to hire Cost Estimation Engineer for Jubail :

Responsibilities:

1. Cost Estimation:

o Develop accurate cost estimates for repair and overhauling projects of LV, MV, and HV motors, including labour, materials, and overheads.

o Analyse motor repair and overhaul requirements, technical documentation, and project specifications to determine cost implications.

2. Project Analysis:

o Review motor condition assessments, repair plans, and technical requirements to understand cost drivers.

o Collaborate with engineering teams to assess project scope and identify cost implications of design changes or repairs.

3. Budget Preparation:

o Assist in preparing budgets for repair and overhaul projects, including forecasts and financial plans based on cost estimates.

o Recommend cost control measures and strategies to optimize budget allocation.

4. Cost Control and Reporting:

o Monitor actual costs against estimates and project budgets, identifying variances and providing explanations.

o Prepare and present cost reports and updates to the Engineering Manager and other stakeholders.

5. Supplier and Vendor Coordination:

o Obtain quotes and negotiate terms with suppliers and vendors for repair materials, components, and services.

o Evaluate supplier proposals to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.

6. Documentation and Record-Keeping:

o Maintain detailed records of cost estimates, quotes, repair plans, and other relevant documentation.

o Ensure that all cost-related documents are accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

7. Collaboration and Communication:

o Work closely with repair teams, procurement, and project management to ensure alignment on cost estimates and project requirements.

o Provide technical support and cost insights during the repair and overhaul process.

8. Risk Assessment:

o Identify potential risks related to cost and budget in repair and overhaul projects.

o Propose and implement mitigation strategies to address cost-related risks.

Requirements:

1. Education:

o Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field. Additional qualifications or certifications in cost estimation or engineering are a plus.

2. Experience:

o Proven experience in cost estimation or cost engineering, preferably within the motor repair and overhaul sector.

o Experience with LV, MV, and HV motors is highly desirable.

3. Skills:

o Strong analytical and numerical skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.

o Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

o Knowledge of cost control techniques and budgeting.

4. Technical Knowledge:

o Understanding of motor repair and overhaul processes for LV, MV, and HV applications.

o Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in motor maintenance and repair.

5. Problem-Solving:

o Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop cost-effective solutions and recommendations.

6. Adaptability:

o Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a professional cost estimation or engineering organization.

• Experience in a similar role within a motor repair or maintenance company.
