Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Construction

Position Available: 1

Salary: 5,000 – 6,000 SAR/Month

Accommodation, Food Allowance & Transportation: Provided by the company

Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing the mechanical systems design, installation, and commissioning for industrial construction projects. The candidate will manage mechanical works related to HVAC, firefighting systems, plumbing, and piping systems. The position involves coordination with the client, consultants, suppliers, and vendors, along with executing site operations and ensuring the timely completion of the project as per technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Drawing Review:

o Review mechanical design and drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with the project specifications.

o Oversee the submission of designs and drawings for approval from relevant stakeholders.

• Project Coordination:

o Attend meetings with the client, consultants, and engineers to ensure alignment with project goals.

o Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials in line with specifications.

• Site Execution:

o Supervise site operations, ensuring that mechanical systems such as HVAC, firefighting systems, plumbing, and piping are installed per design and quality standards.

o Supervise the installation of firefighting systems (sprinklers, piping, risers, and external lines), fire suppression systems, and other critical systems.

• Team Management:

o Manage the mechanical team on-site, ensuring effective delegation of tasks and monitoring of work progress.

o Ensure site operations are progressing as planned, addressing any delays or issues promptly.

• Progress Monitoring & Reporting:

o Review project progress regularly and prepare daily progress reports.

o Ensure adherence to timelines and project budgets, reporting discrepancies or concerns to senior management.

• Completion & Handover:

o Ensure that all mechanical systems are fully operational and meet project specifications.

o Facilitate project completion and handover to the client after successful testing and commissioning of systems.

• Coordination with Other Disciplines:

o Coordinate mechanical works with civil and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of all systems.

o Supervise machine shifting, installation, and positioning in line with project requirements.

Core Expertise

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, firefighting systems, plumbing, drainage, and compressed air systems.

• Expertise in structural/platform fabrication, erection, and general mechanical fabrication.

• Proficiency in piping, insulation, and cladding works, along with the installation of fire suppression systems.

• Ability to manage and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of materials.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.

Experience

• 7 to 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in industrial construction projects.

Key Skills

• Proficient in mechanical system design, execution, and quality control.

• Strong knowledge of relevant standards for HVAC, firefighting systems, and plumbing.

• Ability to manage site teams and effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and consultants.

• Skilled in the use of mechanical design software and other industry-related tools.

• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical system issues.
