Health and Safety Officer

Job DescriptThe Health and Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees. This includes developing and implementing safety programs, conducting risk assessments, and providing safety training. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, be detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulations. Provide safety training to employees on topics such as emergency procedures, proper equipment usage, and hazard identification. Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective measures. Maintain safety records and documentation in compliance with legal and company requirements. Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes in occupational health and safety. Conduct safety audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure ongoing compliance. Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a similar certification preferred. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
