Job description

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Aramco Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of safety standards on-site, adhering to Aramco's strict safety policies, and maintaining a safe and compliant working environment. This role will require proactive management of safety measures and regulations across our operational sites, including conducting safety audits, training staff, and addressing safety concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Safety Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with Aramco's safety standards and relevant health & safety regulations.

2.Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential hazards, providing recommendations and actions to mitigate risks.

3.Safety Management: Ensure that the worksite and all activities meet the safety standards set by 4.Aramco and regulatory bodies. Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety measures.

5.Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root cause analysis and preparing reports for management. Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

6.Safety Training: Deliver safety training and orientation sessions to all employees and contractors to promote safe work practices and compliance with safety protocols.

7.Emergency Response: Develop, implement, and manage emergency response plans and procedures, ensuring all personnel are adequately trained and prepared for emergencies.

8.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate safety documentation, including incident reports, safety audits, training logs, and compliance records. Submit regular safety reports to management.

9.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Aramco's safety rules, local and international safety regulations, and industry standards. Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and safety guidelines.

Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, contractors, and project managers to ensure safety is integrated into all stages of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.

Certifications:

1.NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.

2.OSHA certification or equivalent.

3.Additional safety certifications (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely) are an advantage.

4.Familiarity with Aramco safety standards, guidelines, and procedures is highly desirable.

Skills:

1.Knowledge of local and international health & safety regulations.

2.Strong understanding of safety risk assessments, hazard analysis, and incident investigation techniques.

3.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).

4.Ability to work under pressure and in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

5.Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.

6.Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
