Position Title: Fit-Out Project Engineer / MEP Engineer

Job Overview:

The Fit-Out Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of interior fit-out projects. This includes ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The role requires a strong understanding of fit-out construction processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Review project specifications and drawings to ensure a thorough understanding of the scope and requirements.

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, and budgets.

Coordinate with design teams, architects, and clients to finalize plans and specifications.

Ensure the coordination of the project site, including the allocation of resources and materials.

Monitor subcontractor performance and manage any issues related to delays or quality.

Implement and monitor quality control procedures and ensure that the work meets design specifications and client expectations.

Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality, and safety, and address any issues that arise.

Oversee daily site operations to ensure smooth progress and efficient management of resources.

Supervise and support on-site teams, including subcontractors and laborers.

Ensure all project activities are compliant with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.

Proactively identify potential project risks or challenges and develop mitigation plans.

Address any unforeseen issues or changes in the project scope promptly, minimizing impact on timelines and costs.

Work with the project manager to resolve disputes and handle any claims.

Maintain effective communication with clients, ensuring they are kept informed of progress, any changes, or delays.

Prepare and submit regular progress reports, cost estimates, and any necessary documentation to the client and project manager.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fit-out / Joinery Industry in KSA

Strong knowledge of interior fit-out processes, Method of Statements, and safety regulations.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS OFFICE, MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.).

Problem-Solving: Strong ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions to overcome challenges.

Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring quality work and compliance with design specifications.

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadline

Experience in Specific Sectors: Prior experience in commercial, residential, retail fit-out projects.
