Position Overview
The Site Engineer (Electrical) will manage all electrical aspects of 132kV / 380kV underground cable projects, including installation, testing, and commissioning of cables. Candidates must have prior experience in underground cable systems in Saudi Arabia, a valid and transferable Iqama, and must be available for immediate joining.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution:
Supervise installation of 132kV / 380kV cables, including laying, jointing, and termination.
Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure operational readiness.
Technical Oversight:
Review and interpret electrical designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and specifications.
Address technical challenges and propose effective solutions during construction phases.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all works adhere to Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards and local regulations.
Conduct inspections and verify testing results for cable installations.
Coordination and Reporting:
Work closely with civil teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical and civil works.
Prepare detailed progress and inspection reports for the project manager.
Safety and Risk Management:
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols during cable installation and testing.
Conduct risk assessments to prevent potential hazards.
Qualifications and Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering for underground cable projects in Saudi Arabia.
Expertise in 132kV / 380kV systems, including testing and commissioning.
Skills:
Proficiency in electrical design tools and testing equipment.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Other Requirements:
Valid and transferable Iqama.
Immediate availability.
Candidates with relevant experience will be preferred.
