Project Engineer

Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Experience Required: 8-10 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team in Jubail. The successful candidate will oversee and manage engineering projects from inception to completion in the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical sectors. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in handling large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Lead and manage engineering projects from concept design through to commissioning and completion.

Coordinate all project activities, resources, and timelines.

Ensure projects are executed in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Engineering Design and Coordination:

Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications.

Conduct technical reviews and ensure the designs meet project requirements.

Coordinate with design teams to ensure that project designs are accurate, timely, and in line with the project scope.

Cost and Budget Management:

Prepare detailed project budgets and cost estimations.

Track project spending and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Ensure all project expenditures are within budget and report on financial performance regularly.

Quality and Safety Compliance:

Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.

Conduct safety audits, inspections, and ensure safety protocols are followed on-site.

Procurement and Vendor Management:

Oversee the procurement of equipment, materials, and services required for the project.

Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring deliverables meet quality, time, and cost standards.

Evaluate contractor performance and address any issues that arise during the project.

Risk and Issue Management:

Identify potential risks and develop risk management strategies.

Proactively address project challenges, and provide timely solutions to issues as they arise.

Report regularly on the status of projects, including risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and mentor project teams, ensuring team members adhere to timelines and deliverables.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress.

Commissioning and Handover:

Oversee the commissioning process of completed projects.

Ensure proper documentation and project handover to clients upon completion.

Perform post-project evaluation and ensure that all client requirements have been met.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering preferred).

Experience: 8-10 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the Oil, Gas, or Petrochemical industries.

Skills:

Strong technical knowledge in engineering design, construction, and project management.

Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.

Language: Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).

Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
