Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. This role requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design, and hands-on experience in a complex industrial environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical systems design, installation, operation, and maintenance in our projects across Riyadh and other regions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Engineering:

Develop mechanical designs for equipment, systems, and infrastructure for oil and gas projects.

Conduct feasibility studies, prepare cost estimates, and assist in the selection of mechanical systems and components.

Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Project Management:

Manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and adhering to quality standards.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, contractors, and clients, to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor the progress of construction, installation, and commissioning activities, addressing technical challenges as they arise.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used in oil and gas operations, ensuring optimal performance.

Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics on mechanical systems to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Inspection and Quality Assurance:

Conduct inspections of mechanical installations to verify that they meet required specifications and standards.

Ensure all mechanical systems meet the required operational, safety, and quality standards.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE):

Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and contribute to the development of safety protocols.

Promote a culture of safety in the workplace by adhering to safety standards and assisting in HSE audits.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare detailed reports and technical documentation for project progress, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Maintain clear and organized documentation of mechanical designs, specifications, and operational procedures.

Leadership and Mentorship:

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.

Collaborate with other engineering teams to optimize performance and solve engineering challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus.

Experience:

10-15 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry.

Proven experience in managing complex mechanical engineering projects and overseeing mechanical systems design, construction, and maintenance.

Skills and Knowledge:

In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, systems, and components used in the oil and gas industry.

Experience with CAD software and engineering design tools.

Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination.

Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).

Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment in an industrial setting.

Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements in the oil and gas industry.
