Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team in Yanbu. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the oil and gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and proven accounting experience on large to mega projects.

In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Project Control Engineer and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other Project Control Engineers to ensure the correct implementation of project accounting and cost control procedures and requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing all project invoices, cost reports, and business practices related to project costs to ensure alignment with the project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the supervising Project Control Engineer in coordinating with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Control Engineers to ensure the accurate implementation of cost control and accounting processes.

Review and monitor project business practices, ensuring that they align with cost objectives and company standards.

Develop and maintain project cost reports and ensure accuracy in reporting of project expenses.

Provide thorough support in the calculation of costs and the use of cost management software and tools.

Ensure adherence to industry standards, procedures, and requirements for project accounting and cost control.

Take responsibility for reviewing and managing all project invoices and cost-related documentation.

Evaluate project cost trends and propose corrective actions to ensure project budget goals are met.

Collaborate with the project team to maintain strong communication on cost-related issues.

Key Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cost Engineer in oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.

Solid understanding of project accounting principles and practices, including experience with large-scale projects.

Strong proficiency in cost control and accounting software/tools.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.

Detailed knowledge of industry standards and best practices for cost control and project management.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to perform cost estimation and cost tracking in alignment with project schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or formal training in Cost Engineering or Project Control.

Experience working in mega projects or complex engineering projects in the oil and gas sector.
