Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Risk Engineer with a background in the oil, gas, petrochemical, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project control, specifically on large to mega projects, ensuring proper project risk management, schedule adherence, and cost control.
In this role, the Risk Engineer will coordinate with Leads and Senior Engineers to guarantee the correct implementation of project control and business procedures. The position requires someone with deep knowledge of project control/business practices, calculation methods/software, and industry standards. The Risk Engineer will be responsible for closely monitoring project schedules and costs to ensure that objectives are met without compromising quality or deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with Lead Engineers and Senior Engineers to ensure the proper implementation of project control and business procedures.
Review and monitor project schedules and costs to ensure project milestones and budgets are achieved.
Analyze risks and develop strategies for risk mitigation and management throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure that project risks are identified, evaluated, and tracked, and implement actions to mitigate or manage these risks.
Work with project teams to prepare risk reports and provide insights to senior management.
Utilize project control software and tools for effective risk assessment, scheduling, and cost control.
Support project teams in the preparation of risk analysis reports and make recommendations for adjustments to keep the project on track.
Maintain thorough knowledge of industry standards, project control procedures, and best practices.
Actively contribute to improving risk management processes and practices within the organization.
Requirements:
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Sc. Engineering Degree).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Control Engineer or Risk Engineer in the Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Hydrocarbon industries.
Must have a strong background in project control, specifically on large to mega projects.
Extensive knowledge and experience with project risk management, cost control, scheduling, and relevant software tools.
Strong understanding of project control/business practices, calculation methods, standards, and procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
