We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in diesel power generation systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel generators and associated electrical equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical theory, power systems, and diesel engine mechanics, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of diesel power generators.
· Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems, and diesel engine mechanics.
· Experience with generator control systems, switchgear, transformers, and other associated equipment.
· Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and codes (e.g., NFPA 70, IEEE standards).
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems is a plus.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., EGSA certification) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with specific generator brands (e.g., Perkins, Caterpillar, Cummins, Volvo, etc).
· Experience with load testing and synchronization of generators.
· Knowledge of fuel systems and fuel management.
· Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Working Conditions:
May require working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
May require working on weekends or holidays in case of emergencies.
