qualifications:
• bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, engineering, or a related field.
• certified safety professional (csp) or equivalent safety certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a safety engineering role
• strong knowledge of osha, epa regulations, and industry safety standards.
• experience conducting safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• proficiency in microsoft office suite and safety management software.
key responsibilities:
• conduct safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• develop, implement, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• provide safety training and resources to employees on safety practices, emergency response, and regulatory requirements.
• investigate accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• review and update safety policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (osha, epa, etc.).
• collaborate with management and other departments to improve safety practices and minimize risk.
• maintain and update safety records, reports, and documentation.
• participate in safety meetings and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• assist in the design and implementation of safety equipment, systems, and protocols.
