qualifications:
• minimum of 8 years of experience in safety engineering, specifically in infrastructure and stp projects.
• bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, safety management, or a related field.
• strong knowledge of safety regulations, codes of practice, and industry standards in infrastructure and stp sectors.
• proven experience in risk management, safety audits, and accident investigations.
• ability to develop and deliver safety training programs.
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
• strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• certification in safety management (e.g., nebosh, iosh) is a plus.
key responsibilities:
• develop and implement safety policies and procedures for infrastructure and stp projects.
• conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• monitor the implementation of safety measures on-site, ensuring all personnel adhere to safety protocols.
• advise project managers on safety practices and risk mitigation strategies.
• conduct safety training for site personnel, focusing on hazard identification, emergency response, and proper safety equipment use.
• investigate accidents or incidents on-site, determine causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• work closely with the engineering team to identify and resolve safety concerns during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
• review project safety documentation, including method statements, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
• stay updated on industry safety standards, regulations, and best practices.
