Job description

The primary responsibility of the Site Supervisor MEP is to oversee the execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems on the construction site, ensuring that they are implemented according to the approved technical specifications, project timelines, and quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of MEP Work:

Monitor the implementation of MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) according to engineering plans.

Ensure that the work is carried out according to the specified technical standards and specifications.

Coordination of Work Teams:

Coordinate and manage teams responsible for MEP installations.

Ensure that tasks are performed efficiently and on time.

Schedule Monitoring:

Track the progress of MEP work and ensure teams are adhering to the project schedule.

Take corrective actions in case of delays or issues that may impact the timeline.

Review of Drawings and Plans:

Review MEP-related engineering drawings and plans.

Ensure that the work on-site matches the approved drawings and plans.

Quality Management:

Ensure that work is completed according to the required quality standards.

Follow up on testing, inspection, and commissioning of MEP systems.

Address any quality-related issues and provide solutions as necessary.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure that all work teams comply with safety standards on-site during MEP system installation.

Monitor the proper use of tools and equipment according to safety guidelines.

Cross-Department Coordination:

Coordinate with other on-site teams such as civil, structural, and architectural teams to ensure smooth integration of MEP systems.

Communicate with engineers and designers to resolve any site-related queries or challenges.

Reporting:

Prepare daily or weekly progress reports regarding MEP work.

Report any issues or challenges encountered in the MEP execution to the direct manager.

Material and Equipment Management:

Track the delivery, storage, and usage of MEP materials and equipment on-site.

Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available as required by the work plan.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Practical experience in executing and managing MEP works in construction or building projects.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and related engineering applications.

Familiarity with local and international building codes and standards.

Experience in managing teams and coordinating between different disciplines on-site.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.
