Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Engineer / Specialist to support the CLIENT's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) function and projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe work culture, and implementing effective risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the CLIENT's OSH function and projects, ensuring compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.

Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to maintain a safe working environment.

Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits to prevent accidents and ensure workplace safety.

Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.

Investigate and analyse workplace incidents, near-misses, and accidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.

Ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations, industry standards, and company policies.

Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into project planning and execution.

Prepare HSE reports, documentation, and compliance records for internal and external audits.

Act as a point of contact for HSE-related inquiries, ensuring effective communication with the client and internal teams.

Recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety and reduce environmental impact.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.S. Degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent qualification).

OSH Certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) are mandatory.

Minimum 5+ years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in engineering, construction, oil & gas, or related industries.

Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in HSE management systems and reporting tools.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

Experience in working with international clients and regulatory bodies.

Knowledge of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) standards.

First Aid/CPR certification is an advantage.
