Job description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Applications Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing Application and Hardware support technical to end-users, diagnosing and resolving IT Application issues promptly, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services across our organization.

**Responsibilities:**

Attend to service requests from end-users for service or problem resolution.

Prioritize and resolve service requests, escalating to appropriate staff when necessary.

Assist in the configuration and support of POS systems.

Troubleshooting Hardware issues and .

Manage IT applications, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of store systems.

Optimize application performance, functionality, and system reliability.

Troubleshoot network, database, and hardware issues affecting store operations.

Visit stores as needed to address system challenges and provide hands-on support.

Participate actively in testing new and existing systems.

Prepare and update user manuals and training materials.

Maintain documents related to assigned functions and ensure accuracy.

Troubleshoot hardware peripherals and software issues related to store and warehouse operations.

Provide timely communication to users on the status of their service requests.

Monitor the availability, performance, and throughput of supported IT applications.

Provide training to end-users on supported IT applications.

Conduct preventive maintenance and 1st level troubleshooting for applications and servers.

Install and configure hardware and software components.

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:**

Knowledge of SQL databases, network configuration, and application testing.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical teams and end users.

Experience in writing testing applications, test scripts, training manuals, and configuration documents.

Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience in FMCG or grocery retail industry is an advantage.

Knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) or ERP applications is an advantage.
