About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer – Electrical Metering Systems to join our team in Jubail. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical metering systems for energy measurement and monitoring across residential, commercial, and industrial networks. This role is critical in ensuring meter accuracy, system reliability, and compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
? Supervise the installation and commissioning of electrical meters, including smart and traditional units.
? Configure and troubleshoot AMI/AMR systems to ensure seamless data communication.
? Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on metering equipment.
? Analyze metering data to detect anomalies, tampering, or energy loss.
? Maintain and update technical documentation, schematics, and meter records.
? Coordinate with utility IT and SCADA teams for real-time monitoring and system integration.
? Ensure all installations comply with regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, ANSI).
? Assist in procurement of metering equipment and accessories.
? Support energy efficiency and loss reduction programs.
? Train junior staff and field technicians on safety and technical procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
???? Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
???? Experience: Minimum 3 years in electrical metering or power distribution
? Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase metering systems.
Experience with smart meters and AMI/AMR technologies.
Familiarity with communication protocols (PLC, RF, GSM, Ethernet).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and metering software tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
?? Experience in utility companies or energy service providers.
?? Certification in metering or power systems.
?? Understanding of cybersecurity measures for smart grid applications.
?? Hands-on experience with meter testing and calibration tools.
