Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team in Jubail. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and related industries, with a strong background in project planning and scheduling for large to mega projects. The Senior Planner will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, ensuring timely project completion, and presenting schedule progress to management. The role requires expertise in Primavera software and a comprehensive understanding of project planning practices, calculation methods, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed project schedules for large-scale and complex projects in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors.

Progress Monitoring: Continuously monitor and track project progress, identify deviations from the baseline schedule, and report issues to management.

Schedule Management: Ensure project milestones are met on time, and implement corrective actions and recovery plans when necessary.

Recovery Planning: Prepare and present recovery plans in the event of schedule delays or slippages, ensuring the project remains on track.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align schedules with project requirements.

Software Proficiency: Utilize Primavera P6 (or equivalent project management software) to plan, update, and maintain project schedules.

Reporting: Provide periodic progress reports, highlighting schedule performance, risks, and critical path items.

Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent delays or cost overruns.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry standards, trends, and best practices in project scheduling and planning.

Qualifications:

Education:

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree or higher).

Experience:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, with at least 5 years in senior planner roles.

Hands-on experience in brownfield petrochemical projects and large-scale capital projects in the oil, gas, or related industries.

Proven experience with Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling software.

Skills:

Extensive knowledge of project planning and scheduling practices, methodologies, and industry standards.

Strong understanding of project control, including cost control, schedule control, and risk management.

Ability to develop and present clear, concise, and detailed reports and presentations to management.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to propose corrective actions and recovery strategies.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for working with project teams and management.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with scheduling for offshore, refinery, or infrastructure projects.

Knowledge of industry-specific project standards and procedures related to scheduling.

Certification in Project Management or Planning (e.g., PMP, IPMA).
