Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer (Offshore) to join our engineering team in Al Khobar. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in offshore structural engineering, including the design, analysis, and assessment of offshore platforms and related structures. You will work on a variety of offshore oil & gas and/or renewable energy projects in compliance with international codes and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis and design of offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, subsea structures, and associated facilities.
Conduct structural integrity assessments and life extension studies for existing offshore structures.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes (API, ISO, AISC, DNV, etc.) and company standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including naval architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and inspection phases.
Participate in client meetings, technical reviews, and project progress updates.
Review third-party designs, reports, and deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's Degree preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in offshore structural engineering.
Proficient in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD.Pro, SESAM, ANSYS, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of international offshore codes and standards (API RP2A, ISO 19901 series, DNVGL).
Experience with offshore oil & gas or wind energy projects.
Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Professional Engineering License (PE or equivalent) is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Structural design of fixed and floating offshore platforms.
Familiarity with dynamic analysis and fatigue life calculations.
Experience with construction support and offshore field engineering.
