About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Engineer with a strong background in brownfield projects within the petrochemical, oil & gas, or hydrocarbon industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing construction activities on large-scale industrial projects, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met or exceeded.
This is a key role responsible for coordinating and overseeing the execution of construction activities, interfacing with contractors, and ensuring adherence to project specifications, international standards, and milestone schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify job specifications, scope of work, and contractor deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals.
Support in preparing Issue for Construction (IFC) and Invitation to Bid (ITB) packages for construction contractors.
Conduct pre-job briefings, including safety, scope clarification, and kickoff meetings with construction contractors.
Monitor ongoing construction work to ensure compliance with design intent, quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and HSE to ensure seamless execution.
Ensure all construction activities are completed within schedule and budget while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
Provide technical support and guidance during construction phases and assist in resolving site-related challenges.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering field.
Minimum 10 years of construction experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, refinery, or hydrocarbon brownfield projects.
Solid understanding of construction practices, international codes and standards, and project execution methodologies.
Strong coordination and leadership skills in managing contractors and subcontractors on complex projects.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Previous experience working in Jubail or similar industrial zones is a plus.
A Civil Engineer (Fit-Out) should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 5 – 8 years
