Draftsman (AutoCAD) – Joinery Division (Artcraft –

Metallica)

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman (AutoCAD) with proven

experience in joinery and woodworking drawings. The candidate will be responsible for

preparing accurate shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings for

bespoke joinery, furniture, and interior fit-out works. This role requires technical expertise,

precision, and the ability to collaborate closely with designers, project engineers, production

teams, and site supervisors to ensure smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for joinery works, including furniture,

doors, wall panels, counters, wardrobes, kitchens, and other bespoke wooden

elements.

• Translate architectural/ID design intent into precise manufacturing shop drawings

suitable for production.

• Prepare cutting lists, BOQs, and material take-offs in alignment with shop drawings.

• Ensure drawings are technically accurate and compliant with project specifications,

industry standards, and company procedures.

• Coordinate with the design team, project managers, and site engineers for drawing

approvals, revisions, and clarifications.

• Update drawings based on consultant/architect comments, RFI responses, or client

requirements.

• Maintain proper document control and revision tracking for all drawings.

• Liaise with production and factory teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure

constructability of designs.

• Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.

• Support estimation and sales teams with conceptual drawings, presentation layouts,

and technical inputs when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Architectural Engineering, Interior Design, or

equivalent technical field.

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Draftsman in a joinery/carpentry or fit-out

company.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D); knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, or other CAD/CAM

software is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of joinery details, woodworking techniques, hardware, finishes,

and material specifications.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural/ID drawings, technical specifications, and

site dimensions.

• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Strong time management with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight

deadlines.

• Good communication skills for coordination with cross-functional teams.

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Accuracy and quality of shop drawings with minimal revisions.

• Timeliness of drawing submissions in line with project schedules.

• Efficiency in handling revisions, consultant/client comments, and RFIs.

• Effective coordination with production and site teams.

• Compliance with company standards and project specifications.
