Job Description – Civil QA/QC Engineer (Handover Documentation & Administration)
Location: Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Position: Civil QA/QC Engineer – Handover & Documentation
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, and international standards throughout civil/architectural works.
Manage and control QA/QC documentation: Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Method Statements (MS), and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
Prepare, organize, and compile handover documentation packages (Dossiers, O&M manuals, as-built drawings, test certificates, QA/QC records, NCRs, corrective actions, etc.) in line with client/consultant requirements.
Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and clients for inspection approvals and documentation closeout.
Conduct site inspections and quality checks for civil and architectural works (concrete, blockwork, plastering, waterproofing, finishing, hardscape/landscape).
Support snagging and de-snagging inspections, ensure rectification, and maintain proper records for final acceptance.
Monitor and update document control systems to ensure timely submission and approval of QA/QC and handover deliverables.
Ensure ISO 9001 QMS compliance and provide support during internal/external quality audits.
Coordinate with administration teams for project correspondence, archiving, and records management.
Train and guide site staff on QA/QC documentation processes, ITP requirements, and handover procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
5–10 years’ experience in QA/QC Civil Engineering, with at least 3 years in handover documentation & administration on mega projects.
Experience in Gulf/KSA projects is essential.
Strong knowledge of construction standards (ASTM, ACI, BS, SBC, ISO).
Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and document management systems (Aconex, Primavera Contract Management, etc.).
