Job Summary:
Position open for office located in Yanbu, Madina Region-KSA, which includes the coordination of Design & analysis of construction in KSA.
The Safety & Fire Design Engineer is responsible for ensuring that health, safety, and environmental (HSE) considerations are embedded into engineering design and project execution. This role involves developing and reviewing Safety & fire design deliverables, performing hazard analysis and risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with international and local safety standards across all project phases. The ideal candidate will have experience in safety & Fire design for industrial & infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and integration of Safety & Fire design philosophies into engineering projects.
• Ensure design compliance with relevant Fire & Safety codes, standards (e.g., API, NFPA, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001), and client specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety is prioritized during design, construction, and operation phases.
• Prepare and review safety deliverables such as Safety Concept Reports, Fire Protection Layouts, Escape Route Diagrams, and Fire & Gas Detection System Designs.
• Participate in design reviews (e.g., 3D model reviews, P&ID reviews) and provide safety & fire input.
• Review vendor documentation and engineering drawings for safety & Fire compliance.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior safety engineers.
• Engage with clients, authorities, and certifying agencies as required.
• Support incident investigations and provide design-related root cause analysis when applicable.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety & Fire Engineering.
• 5–6 years of relevant experience in safety& fire engineering design.
• Knowledge of international Safety & Fire Regulations standards.
• Knowledge in safety design & analysis software.
• Communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Note: This position may involve occasional travel to project sites.
