Responsible for preparing and pricing civil project bids and tenders accurately and professionally by analyzing drawings, specifications, and contracts; estimating quantities of materials, labor, and equipment costs; and ensuring that pricing aligns with engineering standards and contractual requirements, achieving an optimal balance between quality and competitive cost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review tender documents, drawings, and technical specifications thoroughly.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conduct detailed price analysis according to project conditions.
• Estimate costs of materials, labor, equipment, and indirect expenses.
• Review technical and financial proposals and prepare final tender submissions.
• Coordinate with technical, engineering, and procurement departments to obtain accurate pricing.
• Prepare price analysis and cost comparison reports among suppliers.
• Monitor and update market prices for materials, equipment, and services.
• Provide technical and financial recommendations to management regarding tender participation.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic reports and final project cost evaluations.
• Ensure all pricing activities comply with internal standards and policies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of practical experience in civil project estimation or general contracting.
• Advanced knowledge of project estimation software such as Excel, Primavera, Candy, and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of government and private project specifications.
• Strong analytical skills and high accuracy in calculations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is an added advantage.
