We are looking for the position of Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance
Work Location: Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) – Offshore Facilities
Contract Type: Long-Term Maintenance Contract
Job Purpose:
The Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance will be responsible for performing and supervising routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities of various offshore operational facilities under KJO. The role focuses on maintaining the integrity and performance of static and rotating equipment, piping systems, valves, and associated mechanical components, ensuring safe and reliable operations in compliance with industry standards and KJO maintenance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, execute, and supervise routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities for offshore mechanical systems and equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for equipment failures or malfunctions to ensure minimal downtime.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair static equipment (vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, etc.), rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, etc.), and piping and valve systems.
• Review maintenance work orders, prioritize tasks, and ensure all maintenance work complies with KJO safety and quality standards.
• Coordinate with offshore operations teams to plan and schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to production.
• Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, repair records, and equipment history.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures, work instructions, and spare parts lists.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of mechanical systems and recommend improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and lifespan.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Safety, Health, and Environmental (HSE) standards and company policies.
• Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and contractors as required for specialized mechanical maintenance services.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Core and proven experience in mechanical maintenance within Oil & Gas production or processing facilities, preferably in offshore environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of rotating and static equipment, piping systems, valves, and mechanical repair methodologies.

Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance practices and relevant maintenance software/systems.
• Good understanding of safety standards (API, ASME, ISO) applicable to oil and gas facilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and offshore environment.
Reporting To:
Maintenance Superintendent / KJO Maintenance Team Leader
Employment Type:
Full-Time – Long-Term Contract (AlMeer with KJO Offshore Maintenance Project)
• Basic Salary per month will be 3000 USD
• Note: Offshore work experience shall be an added advantage.
• Note : Candidates with Immediate joining are preferred.
