1.**Overall Job Purpose:** The Operation Supervisor is accountable for first-line leadership and management of team members within a specific discipline. This includes enabling the work of both the individual and their team, building their expertise and skills, and delivering frontline team results. These results encompass safety, production, maintenance, quality, cost, and motivation.
2. **Qualifications, Experience & Skills:**
- **Qualification:**
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a relevant field.
- Trade test/Formal Production qualification OR Diploma Engineering.
- **Experience:**
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the relevant field of Artisan/Production.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
- **Skills:**
- Acute safety awareness and attitude.
- Proven management and leadership skills.
- Change agent with advanced knowledge of safety procedures (e.g., risk assessments, root cause analysis, deviation analysis, etc.).
- Proficient competence in work permit procedures.
- Subject matter expert on the specific discipline/plant systems.
- Competent in using applicable technology software and/or systems.
- Critical thinking, with the ability to foster teamwork.
- Sound time management and organizational skills.
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Persuading, influencing, and facilitation skills.
- Advanced understanding of business fundamentals and the value chain.
- Advanced competence in interpreting regulations and codes and reading ISO drawings.
- Proficient knowledge of the application of engineering, science, and/or technology.
- Highly competent in troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions.
- Advanced understanding of specific section processes and procedures.
- Extensive experience in shutdowns and project management.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills (including reporting).
- Design thinking and effective decision-making skills.

- Take corrective action during emergency situations to avoid downtime and equipment damage.

- Ensure compliance with safety and company-initiated interventions.
- Write and report on various operational aspects as needed.
