Quality Controller – Maintenance Department is responsible for ensuring that all maintenance activities, repairs, and overhauls comply with company quality standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, reducing breakdowns, and ensuring maintenance work is performed correctly the first time.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and verify quality of maintenance work on machines, equipment, and utilities
Ensure maintenance activities comply with approved procedures, work instructions, and safety standards
Audit preventive and corrective maintenance tasks and confirm proper execution
Verify correct use of tools, spare parts, and materials during maintenance activities
Identify non-conformities in maintenance processes and raise corrective action reports
Monitor equipment performance after maintenance to confirm effectiveness
Maintain maintenance quality records, checklists, and inspection reports
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures
Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to improve maintenance quality
Support TPM, reliability improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
3–6 years of experience in maintenance or maintenance quality within manufacturing
Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and industrial equipment
Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, TPM, and safety standards
Skills & Competencies
Strong inspection, auditing, and documentation skills
Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures
Good problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Strong communication and coordination abilities
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
