An Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for fire protection projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, performing material take-offs, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting the sales team to ensure competitive pricing and profitable project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Take-Offs: Review project drawings and specifications to calculate material quantities.
Cost Analysis: Prepare cost estimates, including materials, labor, and equipment.
Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive project bids.
Supplier Coordination: Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for accurate pricing.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential cost risks and include contingencies in estimates.
Technical Support: Provide technical input during project planning and budgeting.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotes, and project costs.
Client Communication: Support the sales team in presenting estimates to clients.
Market Research: Stay updated on material costs and industry pricing trends.
Reporting: Prepare regular cost analysis reports for management.
