We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical QC Engineer to join our team in MAKKAH HARAM Project. You will play a critical role in ensuring that all mechanical systems, components, and installation activities comply with project specifications, relevant codes (ASME, API, etc.), industry standards, and our internal Quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate will be responsible for the full spectrum of quality assurance and control activities, from material inspection to final handover.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Planning & Compliance: Develop, implement, and oversee inspection and testing plans (ITPs) to ensure project compliance with all applicable standards (e.g., ASME, ISO 9001) and project-specific requirements.
Inspection & Testing: Conduct thorough inspections (visual, dimensional) and supervise various tests (hydrostatic, NDT) on mechanical equipment, piping systems, and components at all stages—from incoming materials to final installation. Monitor the calibration of all inspection tools and equipment.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed quality records, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and weld documentation. Prepare weekly, monthly, and final quality performance reports for management and clients.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and investigate quality issues or defects. Lead root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented.
Audit & Supplier Management: Conduct internal audits and participate in audits of contractors and suppliers to verify adherence to quality plans and procedures. Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies as required.
Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, construction managers, design engineers, and contractors to resolve quality-related issues promptly and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in a QA/QC engineering role within mechanical construction, .
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical standards (ASME, API, EN), quality control methodologies, and statistical process control. Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques is essential.
Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD is often required. The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is typically mandatory.
