Electrical Engineer / QC Engineer – Water Transmission Project

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer / QC Engineer to join our Water Transmission Project, including pipelines, tie-in stations, and tap-off stations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical works related to water transmission systems and quality control activities, ensuring all electrical installations meet project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Engineering

Supervise and manage all electrical works related to water transmission pipelines, pumping systems, tie-in stations, and tap-off stations.

Review electrical drawings, specifications, and method statements.

Coordinate with construction, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to ensure proper execution of electrical activities.

Ensure installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems such as power distribution, control panels, motors, pumps, and earthing systems.

Identify and resolve electrical design or site-related issues.

Quality Control (QC)

Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and applicable international and local standards.

Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Reports.

Conduct inspections, tests, and witness activities for electrical installations.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors during inspections and approvals.

Maintain proper documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and as-built records.

Health, Safety & Coordination

Ensure electrical works comply with HSE requirements and site safety procedures.

Attend project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain project schedules.

Support commissioning and handover activities.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5-10 years of experience in electrical works for water transmission, pipeline projects, pumping stations, tie-in stations, or similar infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems used in water transmission projects.

Experience in QC/QA activities and documentation.

Familiar with international standards and WTCO Specification.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with large-scale water transmission or utility projects.

Knowledge of testing & commissioning of pumps, motors, and control systems.

Previous experience working with consultants and government authorities.
