Sawaed Al-Afkar Contracting Company is currently looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Yanbu. The ideal candidate must have strong construction experience and technical expertise in mechanical works.
Required Qualifications:
Able to Speak English and Arabic
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction projects (industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects preferred)
Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
Strong knowledge in HVAC, piping systems, firefighting systems, plumbing, and mechanical equipment installation
Experience in substation or industrial projects is an advantage
Familiar with Saudi standards, Royal Commission standards, and international codes
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOQs
Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office applications
Knowledge in project planning, coordination, and site supervision
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to manage manpower and subcontractors efficiently
Valid Iqama (transferable) if non-Saudi applicant
Preferably currently residing in Yanbu or willing to relocate
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise mechanical site works and ensure compliance with project specifications
Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other engineering disciplines
Prepare material submittals, shop drawings, and technical reports
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion
Ensure safety standards and quality control procedures are strictly implemented
