???? Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and oversee mechanical engineering works for large-scale hospitality and public building projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in design review, system coordination, commissioning, and compliance with Saudi and international standards.
????? Key Responsibilities
Review detailed design drawings and construction method statements for:
HVAC systems
Water supply & drainage
Fire protection & gas systems
Specialized hotel systems (swimming pools, kitchens, laundry rooms)
? Provide optimization solutions for cost reduction and energy efficiency
Evaluate technical submissions for major equipment such as:
Chillers, boilers, pumps, fans
Air conditioning units and fire pump systems
? Ensure compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC) and hotel operator standards
Coordinate interdisciplinary works (mechanical, civil, electrical, interiors) using BIM/drawings:
Pipeline layouts
Equipment foundations
Maintenance access planning
Develop and supervise commissioning plans:
HVAC air & water balancing
Fire system interlocking
Gas system testing
? Review and approve commissioning reports
Ensure compliance with:
SBC Mechanical Code
NFPA fire standards
ASHRAE energy efficiency standards
Civil Defense & Municipality requirements
Prepare Level 3 schedules and review:
Technical submissions
As-built drawings
Operation & Maintenance manuals
Provide on-site technical leadership during:
Chiller/boiler room installations
Major pipeline works
System commissioning
Pre-opening inspections
???? Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in:
Mechanical Engineering / HVAC or related field
Mandatory: Valid registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
Minimum level: Professional Engineer or Senior Engineer
Minimum 10+ years of experience in large-scale projects
(?100,000 sqm: hotels, hospitals, malls, stadiums, etc.)
Strong expertise in:
HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, gas systems
Hotel-specific mechanical systems
Deep knowledge of:
Saudi Building Code (SBC)
NFPA & ASHRAE standards
International hotel operator standards (Marriott, Hilton, IHG)
Proven leadership experience:
Managed teams of 5+ multinational engineers
Experience leading full-system commissioning for at least 3 major projects
Fluent in English (technical communication with clients, consultants, and authorities)
