Procurement Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Engineer with experience in construction and road infrastructure projects. The role involves technical evaluation of materials, processing purchase requests, and coordinating with vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process material requisitions and purchase requests
Conduct technical evaluation of materials, equipment, and supplier offers
Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to vendors and suppliers
Analyze quotations and prepare comparison reports (technical & commercial)
Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure correct specifications
Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
Support procurement planning in line with project schedules
Assist in negotiation and finalization of purchase orders and contracts
Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and company policies
Maintain procurement records, documentation, and reporting
Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for material delivery and tracking
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical) or related field
Minimum 7+ years of experience in procurement for construction or infrastructure projects
Strong understanding of technical specifications and materials evaluation
Experience in handling procurement processes and vendor coordination
Familiarity with project documentation and procurement systems
