Job Summary
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for conducting material inspections, monitoring construction activities, and ensuring all works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards. The role includes maintaining accurate test records and supporting quality assurance processes across road infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspections of materials and site works including earthworks, subgrade, subbase, base course, and asphalt works
Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications and approved drawings
Coordinate and witness field and laboratory testing (soil, aggregate, asphalt, concrete)
Maintain and update inspection records, test reports, and quality documentation
Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate approvals with consultants/clients
Identify non-conformances and report quality issues to QA/QC Engineer/Manager
Ensure proper implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Monitor material deliveries and verify compliance with approved submittals
Assist in closing NCRs and implementing corrective actions
Ensure calibration and proper use of testing equipment
Support audits and quality control procedures on-site
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC inspection for road infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of road construction materials and testing procedures
Familiarity with international standards and project specifications
Experience with laboratory and field testing coordination
Good documentation and reporting skills
