We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer specializing in electricity transmission systems and substation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in transmission network design, substation engineering, protection systems, and project management related to high-voltage infrastructure projects.
The candidate will play a critical role in planning, designing, reviewing, and executing transmission and substation projects while ensuring compliance with international standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and review overhead and underground transmission network systems.
Prepare electrical designs, calculations, technical specifications, and engineering documentation for transmission projects.
Develop and review substation layouts, single-line diagrams, and detailed engineering drawings.
Design and coordinate protection systems for transmission networks and substations.
Ensure compliance with SEC, IEC, IEEE, and international electrical standards.
Conduct load flow studies, fault analysis, and protection coordination studies.
Manage and supervise transmission and substation projects from concept to commissioning.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Review contractor submissions, technical proposals, and material specifications.
Monitor project schedules, quality standards, and budget performance.
Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration activities.
Prepare technical reports, project updates, and engineering presentations.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in transmission networks and substation projects.
Strong experience in:
Overhead transmission line design
Underground cable network design
Substation design
Protection and control systems
Transmission project management
Familiarity with high-voltage transmission systems and utility standards.
Proficiency in electrical engineering software and design tools.
Strong analytical, technical, and project coordination skills.
Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or utility projects.
Professional certifications or relevant engineering licenses.
GCC/Saudi project experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of SEC standards and approval procedures.
