The Estimation Engineer leads the Company's cost estimation function, delivering accurate and competitive project pricing for all bids and tenders.
This role is critical to the company's commercial success, ensuring that bids are priced to win while maintaining appropriate margins and managing cost risk.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates for tenders, proposals, and project budgets.
• Manage quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications across all disciplines.
• Analyze tender documents, identify risks, and develop cost-efficient solutions.
• Benchmark unit rates, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitiveness.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Technical, and Tendering teams on pricing alignment.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, and cost-to-complete analyses for active projects.
• Maintain the company's pricing database, cost library, and historical bid records.
• Present and defend estimates to senior management at bid review meetings.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• MRICS or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in construction or contracting in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficient in estimating software (CostX, Candy, or equivalent) and MS Excel.
